MINI just announced the JCW Clubman so you can now buy an AWD 6 speed wagon with a 6 second 0-60 time. And you can get it in burgundy which basically brown but better. Strangely this JCW has 20 lb-ft more torque than the rest of the range but no change in horsepower, so I’m guessing this car is under-rated, and a tune will likely put you in the 5.5 range for a 60 pull which is nuts.

I love the Clubman. I love the JCW Clubman even more. But my word that colour combination is HIDEOUS.

Has All4 been updated at all? The Countryman I drove not too long ago felt really strange with how the rear diff engaged in relation to the clutch engagement on the manual.

Yeah this is a newer version more in line with X-drive. It’s been pretty smooth from what I’ve driven.

It still has the van doors instead of a hatch.

Which sorta look cool but mostly make it tough to see out the back.

I checked out a Clubman back when I was shopping for some kind of awd 5-door hatch for my fiancee. It was cool, but the van doors don’t really give you any additional function, and instead of one continuous rear window you end up with two itty bitty ones with huge borders.
